Our Church AGM was recently held, where we report on our progress against the objectives within the Church Terms of Reference.
We have Five Objectives as follows:
- Holding Divine Services of Worship on Sundays when a text from the Bible will be read.
- Providing a safe and caring Spiritual environment with access to a variety of philosophies and viewpoints for those seeking enlightenment.
- Providing Spiritual Healing by Healers appointed by officers of the Church Committee and Trustees.
- Providing learning opportunities and experiences for those seeking to develop their Spiritual gifts.
- Promoting the work and beliefs of the Church.
I am pleased to say that we easily met all five of these objectives again! However, this year I was struck by how much effort the Church community has put into objective 4:
Providing learning opportunities and experiences for those seeking to develop their Spiritual gifts.
When we reflect on 2024 it’s clear that Thundersley is now firmly a Development Spiritualist Church,
supporting new mediums and healers who then spread the Christian Spiritualist Message far and wide.
We are very lucky to have a fortnightly mediumship development circle run by Chris King, supported by fledging nights and events in Church.
We have also supported other circles close to the Church, including Karen Butler and Fleur Elliott, through special evenings.
Another HPAI Healing Course began in 2024, with our training supporting the development of the HPAI’s new healing manuals. In addition to the standard HPAI healing manuals, we are also developing supporting material through an online Learning Management System App which includes recorded meditations.
AND with the support of medium Claire Pasterfield, we are hosting monthly ‘Thundersley Presents’ live streams, where we support and encourage existing mediums to try working online through live streams on Facebook and YouTube. This has already resulted in several new mediums being available for the Online part of our Sunday Divine Services.
There are many other spiritualist learning events hosted throughout the year that are open to EVERYONE (over the age of 18), such as the Psychic Tools Workshop, where people can try oracle cards, crystal balls, runes, divining rods and more in a safe environment.
All this is only possible because of the love and support of the Church committee and the whole church community.
We are very blessed, and our AGM ensures that we remain true to our purpose.
